When Sergio interviews for work, he’s the picture of confidence. He knows how to dress, how to act, and what to say – but he’d be the first to tell you it wasn’t always that way. Thanks to a helpful course of interview preparation, however, Sergio is starting his new career!
Sergio joined the FSC training as part of his work with the FSET program. The two-week course focused on helping students eliminate anxiety and practice showing employers their skills. “The class is very interactive and helpful in training people,” he says.
With three interviews lined up over the course of two weeks, Sergio would attend class in the morning, practice answering questions, and then head straight to an actual interview in the afternoon. “Each day he arrived, we watched to see what he would wear,” says his instructor Crystal. If it was a dress shirt and pants, they knew he was off to an interview and helped him prepare for the specific job he wanted. As a result, he’s starting his career as a Customer Service Representative with Alorica!
