Meet Hope

When we met Hope, she knew exactly what she wanted to do, and that’s help people. After moving back to Wisconsin from Mississippi to be closer to family, she enrolled in Wisconsin Works and was surprised by how much the staff was willing to help her. Her case manager, Angela, said she came into the program with a lot a drive, and her extensive training in the medical field made her very employable. However, being new to the area made it difficult to know what would happen. They made plans together that helped her get to know the area and find the best fit for her and her child. Hope took advantage of the workshops and Job Clubs to help her build her confidence and not long after she enrolled in the program, she got a job offer! She is happily working full time as a Medical Assistant and has presented at the Job Club she used to attend, giving hope and inspiring other customers who are in similar situations she was once in.

As for the future, Hope has even bigger goals now. “My plans for the future are to keep going, and go back to school to become a Physician Assistant and I can’t wait to see where I go!”

Congratulations Hope- we’re all very proud of you!
