When Heather came into FSET, she was eager to get back into the health care field. After spending the past few years caring for her son, she found that taking care of other people was her passion.
Since she already knew what she wanted to do, Heather hit the ground running by attending our Forward Impact course, which are a series of workshops to help customers sharpen work and job seeking skills. Getting her resume and cover letter ready to send to employers, she also secured transportation and housing. Just a few weeks later, she began a Work Experience with a senior living center where it only took one shift for their staff to realize she was the perfect fit at their company. Her case manager, Karissa said “despite everything life was throwing at her, Heather maintained a positive attitude, and never lost sight of what she wanted.”
So what’s her secret? Heather said if you keep your chin up, have “a positive attitude, patience and persistence, anything is possible!” Congratulations Heather!
